There have been a number of rumours circulating claiming that while in Russia there was a secret royal wedding.
At this stage this has neither been confirmed nor denied but there are claims of some paparazzi photos being made available soon…
The 2010-2011 wet season was quite impressive.
The graph below (click on it to see it full size) clearly shows the build up of the rainy season, the lull as the monsoon trough moved away from us for a little just before Cyclone Yasi and then the steady decline during March.

There is a persistent urban myth in the local area that National Geographic conducted a survey and analysis of climates around the world in the 1970s.
I have spent quite a bit of time trying to find evidence of this over the years and so far haven’t found it. But, this is not to say that there isn’t a grain of truth behind it.
This coming month the Queen of Walkamin will be conducting a whirlwind trip around the world.
While any specifics of the diplomatic visits obviously must be kept confidential we are hopeful of at least a postcard or some photos along the way.
